This happens quick so you have to watch close. I was sitting in some heavy timber in late October when I heard some commotion behind me. I turned the camera on and positioned it in time to capture this bobcat leaping off a stump in pursuit of a squirrel. Unfortunately they were in some thick cover so you can’t see it, but the bobcat ran halfway up a tree after the squirrel. Luckily for the squirrel, it escaped unscathed. The bobcat sauntered off feeling defeated I imagine. It was a rather large bobcat though, so I doubt he fails very much!
